What Kate Did
Of all the shocks in this episode, one surprised me more than the obvious ones. In Kate's flash-sideways she takes Claire to the hospital and her doctor is Ethan! Weird, right? But what was really odd is that he introduces himself as "Dr. Goodspeed," On the island, we knew him as Ethan Romm. Goodspeed was killed by Ana Lucia in Season 2: The Other 48 Days. So my question: why is there a name-switch? I'm intrigued by many of the differences we've witnessed in this alternate universe of 2004, but this one confounds me for its difference.

Actually, the Anna Lucia killed "Goodwin" (http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Goodwin)... "Goodspeed" was the name of Ethan's parents (http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Goodspeed, so that makes sense.
