I'm putting out a question for you all to ponder over and place a very early prediction. The answer to this question, I believe, will not be revealed until the Series Finale next year or sometime in proximity to that. Anyways, I think this will be fun to put some guesses that, as the seasons continue, we'll want to change or adjust over time...
Here it is:
Who are Adam and Eve? I've grown increasingly suspicious of the fact that the man and woman found in the caves back in season 1 (yes, season 1) could in fact be passengers of the Oceanic 815 crash or other significant characters in this show. Could it be now that our friends are back in the 70's-ish time-frame that they died and reside in the caves? Give it a couple days to think over your thoughts and be sure to state your argument for why.

I have heard this theory and the only problem I have with it is - since we are time traveling how can Rose and Bernard die before they arrive to the island? If they die before they arrive to the island they will never be on flight 815 when it crashes hence they would not go back in time when Ben moves the island and end up dying in the cave. What are your thoughts?
My thoughts as to who might be Adam and Eve have more to do with the white and black rocks that are found with them. In season 1 John is teaching Walt how to play back gammon and refers to the pieces as the colors of good and evil. Isn't that the essence of LOST - good and evil pitted against each other on the island. What if the bodies are say two characters fighting against each other that end up killing each other in the caves - say Ben and Widmore????? At some point we know everyone goes back to present time(if they don't then the would never have crashed on flight 815) but what if Ben and Widmore end up going back in time again allowing them to be the bodies in the caves???
Doesn't this just make your head spin.
I thought one of your big questions would be who is Horace and Amy's baby? We never heard of Horas having a child when we saw him with Ben and his father (when he recruited him) and he was married to Olivia then. So is the baby the elusive Jacob? And we saw Horace building the cabin (in one of the time jumps this season John saw him building it)that we have seen Ben go to and John go to to talk to Jacob.
OK, I apologize for not leaving a well-thought out explanation, but maybe it's Jack and Kate or Sawyer and Kate? I can't even remember the dang bodies (though we just watched Season 1 sometime in the past six months!) but I think Justin or someone suggested that. LOST makes my brain get full.
Good thoughts. I agree that if the bodies belong to ones we know, I couldn't explain the whole time-flux-were-they-there-scheme.
At the moment I'm leaning toward Jack and Kate. Are they meant for each other? Eh, I don't know...but wouldn't it be mindblowing to think that Jack and Kate, who discovered the caves were gazing down at their own bodies? I will be due to completely change my mind in 4.2 weeks...
I guess we found out the newborn is little Ethan. My original guess was Carl, but in accordance to timelines, Ethan does make better sense (kindergarten math, go figure!).
Interesting to think that Ethan was born into the Dharma Initiative, but becomes an other. When was that switch made?
Very interesting theory Crystal with the black and white rocks! I can definitely identify with the "brain full" comment, Sara.
I am also going to go with the Jack and Kate theory on the grounds that they originally picked that spot in Season 1 instead of the beach. I picture an ending looking like Jack and Kate being transported back in time and live their lives happily ever after in the peaceful waterfall cave.
Just for fun I will also place my bets for a long shot with no explanation: Could it be Ben and Annie?
